Black list
Using black list you can deny access to any web address for any existing Windows® user: just add the URL of
restricted website to the black list.
If you specify an URL address, the program treats it literally. But what if you want to deny access to all pages
on a server? In this case you have to use the “*” sign, which replaces any set of characters. For example, if you
add the string *porn* to the black list then all web addresses having porn inside their name will
be blocked. No matter which substring they start or end with.
If you enter ** in the black list then selected user will not be able to access any web site at all.
This option can be used with white list to allow access to those sites only which are listed in the white list.
To add a new item to the black list you should enable the Use black list option, click the + sign inside at the
top-left corner of the list, and type a new black list entry. The items are sorted alphabetically.
To edit an existing black list item, click the pen icon to the right of it or just double-click the item itself.
To delete an item, click the basket icon to the right of it.
You can copy the black list items from one user account to another. For this you first click the copy icon in the top-right
corner of the list and then go to the black list of the user to which you want to copy the items and click the paste icon at
the top-right corner of the list.
If you select the Ignore black list option then the black list will be disabled for this user and TrafficRefine will
not use it for filtering web addresses. This option is useful if you want to temporally disable the black list without
deleting existing entries from it.
